Christmas in Canterbury

Join us at Canterbury Cathedral Lodge on Saturday, 1 December for a very special Christmas event. Enjoy a drinks reception on arrival, a three course lunch and a talk from silk weaver Richard Humphries MBE.

Richard founded the successful Humphries Weaving business in 1972 when he was just 20 years old. What started as a very small operation – a cottage industry – was to become a highly prestigious and renowned silk weaving company. Humphries Weaving have designed fabrics for some of the most important interiors in Britain and abroad. In 1985, Richard’s work restoring the State Apartments at Hampton Court was recognised with an MBE for his services to textiles.

Following Richard’s talk we will take a tour of Canterbury Cathedral and visit the special Huguenot Chapel.

Tickets are £55pp. If you are interested in attending this event, please contact Vanessa for more information at fundraising@frenchhospital.org.uk.
