2018 Huguenot Day
Join us in Rochester for a special Huguenot Day on Saturday, 15 September from 10:00 to 16:00.
You will have the opportunity to see our main building, tour one of our unique flats, and visit the private Huguenots’ Garden. You can also meet representatives from other Huguenot organisations, and learn about the fascinating Huguenot family history of one of our Residents. Homemade refreshments will be available in the Common Room, with proceeds supporting the Residents’ Social Committee. You can also delve into the extraordinary lives of Huguenot women, both past and present.
We highly recommend a visit to the nearby Huguenot Museum, our partner for this event. The Huguenot Museum will have ‘Objects in Focus’ tours throughout the day, as well as activities for the whole family. The Huguenot Museum also holds the main collection of The French Hospital.
The event is FREE and we ask that you check in outside 41 La Providence on your arrival to book your tour. Guided tours of The French Hospital will run on the hour and half hour, starting at 10:00. The last tour of the day will begin at 15:30.
Both The French Hospital and the Huguenot Museum are located directly opposite the new Rochester train station, which provides great transport links in/out of London and to the continent too. We hope to see you at what promises to be a fun event for the whole family.
