Tourist Information Centre, Rochester National Huguenot CentreThe acquisition of the superb building which houses the Tourist Information Centre in 95, High Street provides The French Hospital with the opportunity to expand our existing charitable housing activities as well as develop a number of new ones. The council’s Tourist Information Centre will remain on the ground floor and the upper floors at the rear of the building will be converted into four new two-bedroom flats. The really exciting part of the whole project is our plans for the upper floors at the front and centre of the building. We have retained the services of an internationally renowned museum designer, and with his guidance we are working towards constructing a National Huguenot Centre - something that exists nowhere else in this country and for which there are a very real need. This will be an expensive development and we have launched an appeal to raise funds for it. [Photo by Paul Harris]
This building also provides meeting rooms / conference facilities - ideal for business meetings, training sessions, lectures and more... |
